“We had a good effort tonight, just ran into a very good hockey team,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Mike Donaghue. “They forced us into turnovers and capitalized when that happened. We created some good opportunities, had a 2-0 in the third and their goaltender made an excellent save. We need to take some lessons from this game and apply them as we move forward.”
Daimon Gardner led the Warriors with a hat trick and one assist. Jayson Shaugabay added a goal and four assists. The Warriors (13-0) have five shutouts in their last six games.
Fergus Falls (9-5) has lost three in a row. They are off until Saturday, January 15 when they host Little Falls in a 3:00pm start at the Community Arena.
