Double-Doubles by Thompson and Daniels Lead Perham Past DL

The Perham boys’ basketball team improved their season record to 5-1 with an 81-57 victory over the Lakers at Detroit Lakes on Tuesday night.  The Yellowjackets had a 35-19 halftime advantage. Perham made 48.6% (30-59) of their field goal attempts and buried 13-of-24 (54%) of their 3-point tries.

Leaders for Perham were Micah Thompson (27 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 6 steals), Soren Anderson (22 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals) and Jacob Daniels (10 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists).

Mason Carrier scored 21 points and pulled down 8 rebounds to lead the Lakers.  Nate Cihak had 9 points, Chris Breeden 8 points and Devon Berg 7 points.  DL shot 42.6% (23-54) from the field and made 8-of-26 (31%) 3-pointers.

Perham will play a Heart O’ Lakes Conference contest at Pelican Rapids on Friday and will go to Esko for a Saturday game.
