Henning Boys Come From Behind to Beat Panthers

The Henning boys’ basketball team overcame a 37-32 halftime deficit and outscored Parkers Prairie 39-28 over the final 18 minutes of play to record a 71-65 victory over the Panthers.

“This was a physical battle without a lot of flow because it was so rough,” stated Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “Our guys faced some adversity, but responded in a positive way. The time off comes at a good time for us. We’ve played a lot of games in a short stretch of time.  It will be nice to get some guys healed up before we play again.” 

Tanner Arndt poured in 28 points on 10-of-12 shooting from the field and 8-of-8 shooting from the free throw line.  He also had 3 assists.  Mason Hammer finished with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots.  Kale Misegades had 10 points and 4 assists.  Calvin Stueve added 5 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 steals, and had 7 points, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 rebounds. The Hornets shot 53% (23-43) from the field and made 75% (22-29) of their free throw attempts.

Henning (8-0) is off until Tuesday, January 6 when they host Verndale.
