Hot Shooting Leads Perham to Dominant Win Over Frazee

The Perham boys’ basketball team dominated the Frazee Hornets on Friday night at The Hive in Perham, leading 47-16 at the half and posting an 85-26 victory.

The Yellowjackets were on fire from the field, making two-thirds of their shots (32-48) and hitting 11-of-16 (68.8%) from beyond the arc.

Leading scorers were Soren Anderson and Micah Thompson with 33 and 20, respectively.  They were joined in double digits by Chas Melvin with 11.  Top rebounders were Thompson with 8 and Alex Ohm with 6.  Ohm led the team with 7 assists and Marcus Belka had 6 assists and 6 steals.

Frazee was led by Kale Ovsak with 8 points and Adam Vigen with 6.  The Hornets were 10-of-30 (33.3%) from the field.

Perham is now 2-1 as they prepare to host their Holiday Tournament on Tuesday, December 28 and Wednesday, December 29 at The Hive.

Frazee (0-5) is still looking for their first win of the season.  They will end their pre-Christmas schedule with a game at Barnesville on Tuesday night.
