“For the third straight game we got out to a quick start,” commented Battle Lake Head Coach David Marso. “The Tigers recovered a bit before the break, but we had a fourteen point lead at the half. We were also able to outscore them in the second half, 31-22. We played a real solid defensive game from start to finish. Along with that defensive effort, Ady Tysdal caught fire in the second half hitting 5 of her school record 7 three point baskets. She also led all scorers with 29 points.”
Grace VanErp and Morgan Malone contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively, for the Battlers.
Rothsay was led by Savannah Sullivan (14 points, 7 rebounds) and Kenadi Carlsrud (13 points, 9 rebounds).
“We couldn’t get shots to fall in the first half tonight,” reported Rothsay Head Coach Anita Heier. “I give my girls credit for continuing to play hard and get better throughout.”
