Brandon-Evansville suffered their first loss of the season in girls’ basketball on Tuesday night as they fell at home to Browerville-Eagle Valley by the score of 56-33.  The win enabled the Tigers to improve to 3-1.

“We didn’t handle their pressure well at all,” said Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Zachary Traphagen. “21 turnovers in the first half really set us back in a hole we weren’t able to climb out of in the second half. We did handle the ball a little better in the second half, but Browerville has a nice team and answered every little run we went on. Now we have to put this tough one behind us and focus on getting better for our next one against Underwood on Friday.”

Olivia Otto and EmmaLee Brethorst led the Chargers with 9 points apiece and Kylee Dingwall added 7 points.  Otto led the team with 8 rebounds and Dingwall had 5 rebounds, a team high 3 assists and 6 steals.

The Chargers shot 41% (12/27) from the field.  They will travel to Underwood on Friday to face the 3-0 Rockets.
