The Underwood girls’ basketball team traveled to Parkers Prairie for a Little Eight Conference match and the Rockets prevailed with a 56-29 victory over the Panthers.  Underwood held a 31-15 lead at halftime.

“Parkers is a tough place to play,” said Underwood Head Coach Brian Hovland.  “The girls tonight fought hard through adversity.  I’m proud of how we learned to attack their different defensive looks.  Although she didn’t end up in the scoring column Ezrah Baker (6 assists) did a great job on defense and getting us into great looks at the point guard position.”

The Rockets were led by Liz Lukken (16 points, 3 assists, 4 steals), Alayna Evavold (12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists), Kallyn Grove (12 points, 3 rebounds) and Mo Bugbee (11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists).

Underwood (2-0) will host their next three games, beginning on Monday with the Perham Yellowjackets.
