The M State Men's Basketball team featured a balanced attack on the way to a 113-67 victory over Sisseton-Wahpeton on Tuesday night in Fergus Falls. M State shot 43.3% (45-104) in the game and dominated the boards, 70-40. They also forced 32 turnovers, recording 20 steals on the night.
Brett Engelmeyer was the leading scorer for M State with 24 points. He also had 6 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 assists. Langston Davis contributed 14 points and 9 rebounds. Nic Pearson and Mert Taylor each had 13 points. Larrie Bell registered a double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds), and Renell Edwards added 11 points, 6 boards, 4 assists and 4 steals.
The Mustangs were led by 18 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocked shots from TJ Shellman. Johnny Germann III added 11 points and two players, Sam Hundley and Jamison Pratt chipped in with 10 points each. Sisseton-Wahpeton hit 37% (27-73) of their field goal attempts and hit just 26.3% (10-38) of their treys.
The Spartans (3-2) will host Itasca at 7:30pm Friday and Northland on Saturday afternoon at 3:pm.
