The Border West Buccaneers participated in the Camden Conference Cross Country Meet on Tuesday at Worthington High School.  Canby/Minneota won the girls team title with Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson Boyd taking runner-up honors.  On the boys’ side, Border West claimed third behind LQPV and Canby/Minneota.

“We had a great night of running,” exclaimed Head Coach Brittany Erickson of the Buccaneers. “Our Junior High runners ran exceptionally well.  Drew Sykora and Lucas Gahlon finished their seasons by earning Junior High All Conference honors.  Zoey Wilson kicked it in the last 400 meters and passed a pack of girls to also earn Junior High All Conference recognition.”

“Finishing third as a team is something to hang our hats on because both of the teams that were ahead of us have always had strong programs and state runners,” noted Coach Erickson. “Joe Arens missed All Conference by one place.”
