Brandon-Evansville closed out their regular season with a 3-0 (27-25, 25-17, 25-16) road victory over Little Eight Conference opponent Parkers Prairie on Tuesday night.

Sydney Schaefer distributed 29 set assists in the match.  Kylee Dingwall had 12 kills to lead the Chargers.  Taylor Yeats and Gretchen Bredberg had 7 and 6 kills, respectively.  Dig leaders were Taylor Suchy (19), Dingwall (12) and Yeats (11).  Serving leaders were Suchy (15/17), Olivia Otto (10/12), Dingwall (9/9) and Yeats (7/8).

“Heading into Parkers for our last match of the year we wanted to see how we stacked up with them and see if we could compete,” said Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Kelly Olson.  “The first set we were down almost the entire set, but we did a good job of staying close.  It seemed we would get within 2 points and Parkers would answer with another small run and push it back to 4 or 5.  We had a nice run at the end of the set to get the set win.  From this point on we continued to pass the ball effectively and play good defense.  The players had a good block up.  We didn't get a ton of ace blocks but it was good enough to cause issues for Parkers' hitters.  Along with the defense and blocking I thought we did a good job in the serve and serve receive part of the game.  Our serving percentage was only 89%, but we served very strategically and our misses were close.  Offensively we had a balanced attack and did a good job not killing the rally with mistakes. We made less mistakes, took advantage of what we needed to situationally, and kept focused the whole match. Overall it was a fun match for us.  Seeding for the section tournament comes out on Saturday.”
