The Fergus Falls girls’ cross country team competed at the Central Lakes Conference Championship Meet on Tuesday. The meet was hosted by Rocori High School. Cassie Wellman led the Otters with a 7th place finish, earning All-Conference honors. She bettered her personal best time by fifteen seconds.
Ainsley Hansen, Rebecca Schindler, Naomi Dummer and Sarah Grotberg rounded out the team scoring. The Otters placed sixth as a team.
In the JV race, Ellia Soydara and Miah Schmidt each placed in the top 25 with Schmidt reaching a season best time on her birthday.
In the Middle School division Violet McConn led the girls’ team with a top 25 finish and a season best time. All 5 Otter runners, Alona Higby, Brynn Blondeau, Jenna Thorson and Madilyn Michael, had season best times in their final race of the season.
