Wheaton/Herman-Norcross played host to Hancock in a Pheasant Conference volleyball match on Tuesday night. The match went the full five sets before the Warriors were able to secure a 3-2 (25-15, 25-18, 16-25, 16-25, 15-6) victory over the Owls.
Brylie Schultz recorded 10 of the Warriors 19 aces from the serving line and went 24-for-27 on the night. Avah Sykora added 4 aces on 15-of-18 serving, Ellissa Rinke was 14-for-16 with three aces and Emily Berger was 9-for-10 with a pair of ace serves. Lesley Rinke was 12-for-13 on the line and Kyah Thomas was a perfect 13-for-13.
Schultz and Ellissa Rinke registered double digit kills with 14 and 11, respectively. Rinke also had 5 block assists, while Schultz added a solo block and a block assist. Berger had 15 set assists and Lesley Rinke had 9. Dig leaders were Ellissa Rinke with 15, Thomas with 14, Lesley Rinke with 13 and Sykora with a dozen.
