The Battle Lake volleyball team defeated the Rothsay Tigers 3-0 Tuesday night (25-23, 25-12, 25-19) in a Little Eight Conference match.

“The Battlers came out ready to play tonight,” said Head Coach Jenny Roisum.  “The girls played with confidence and controlled their errors.  We passed well tonight which allowed us to be in the system.  Rothsay did a nice job of keeping the ball alive but the Battlers were able to terminate.”

Seven different Battlers recorded kills tonight with Grace VanErp leading the way with 20 kills and 3 blocks.  Ady Tysdal had 8 kills and 15 digs while Kenady Cameron finished with 2 kills and 2 blocks.  Quinn Amundson and Kayler Brandner were each 100% from behind the serving line with Brandner getting 10 digs.

“Besides volleyball tonight the Battlers and Tigers, along with a number of other conference schools, had a shirt fundraiser for the Reber family,” said Coach Roisum.   “It was wonderful to see John at the match and we all hope for a speedy recovery for him.”
