Underwood won in a very physical game versus Parkers Prairie on Friday night as the Rockets move to a 3-3 record with a 14-8 victory over the Panthers on Homecoming night in Underwood.

Coach Ryan Hendrickson said, "On Seniors night, we did our Seniors Right! Our Seniors, Tristan Evavold, Brien Poser, Jaxon Rich, and Logan Schleske led us to this victory.  I couldn't be more proud of our Seniors and the rest of the Rocket team and Community."

Tristan Evavold scored the first touchdown of the night on a 3 yard run with just nineteen seconds left in the first half to give the Rockets a 6-0 halftime lead.

Parkers Prairie tied the game just 13 seconds into the second half on a 59 yard run by Cole Gesell.  The Panthers then took the lead when Cohen Noska completed a two-point conversion pass to Jacob Wagner.  With 2:23 remaining in the third quarter Evavold scored on a 10 yard run and Poser ran the ball into the end zone for the two-point conversion, giving the Rockets a 14-8 lead.  The fourth quarter was scoreless.

Underwood finished with 227 yards, all on the ground.  They were led by Evavold (17 carries, 85 yards), Poser (21 attempts, 72 yards) and Blayre Lundgren (6 carries, 37 yards).  The Rockets attempted only one pass on the night.

Parkers Prairie had a total of 250 yards (111 passing, 139 rushing).  Cohen Noska completed 10-of-16 passes for 111 yards.  Bennet Arceneau was his leading receiver with 3 catches for 51 yards.  Cole Gesell ran for 98 yards on 11 attempts and Jesse LeManna had 2 carries for 44 yards.

The Rockets had an outstanding crowd as they not only hosted Senior Night but also had a Faith and Blue Tailgate party hosted by the Ottertail County Sheriff’s Office, Underwood recognized their Homecoming royalty, had a marching band performance led by Mr. Tj Pelanek with big time fireworks, and had a rowdy Underwood Style crowd.

"This was one of the most fun environments we have played in front of in a while,” said Coach Hendrickson.  “It was a blast!"
