“The Battlers played a great first set,” said Head Coach Jenny Roisum. “We controlled the tempo and Grace VanErp had 8 of her 17 kills in the first set.”

“The Battlers played a great first set,” said Head Coach Jenny Roisum. “We controlled the tempo and Grace VanErp had 8 of her 17 kills in the first set.”

Parkers switched things up and the Battlers did not respond to the aggressive attack of the Panthers in set 2.  Set 3 was close, the Battlers had opportunities to take the set but Parker's serve was too much for the Battlers.  The Battlers had an early lead of 8-6 in the 4th set but then Parkers went on a 9-0 scoring run to control the set and take the match.

“This was a fun match tonight with strong plays by both teams,” said Coach Roisum.

VanErp added 10 digs to go with her 17 kills.  Ady Tysdal was 17/17 serving with 5 kills.  Ellie Gibbs added 3 kills and 2 blocks for the Battlers.  Kayler Brandner had 11 digs, while Sophie Akerman had 12 digs and 22 assists.

The Battlers face Henning and Rothsay next week.
