The Battle Lake volleyball team lost their fourth straight 5 set match when they fell to Frazee (25-19, 25-18, 24-26, 12-25, 9-15) on Thursday night.

“The girls came out with energy and started the match on fire,” said Battle Lake Head Coach Jenny Roisum.  “We controlled our side and won sets 1 and 2.  The Battlers had chances in set 3 but Frazee cleaned up their mistakes while we made 11 unforced errors.  The Battlers did not rebound quickly which made us face another fifth set.  Frazee came out in set 5 with energy and never looked back.  This is a rough start for the Battlers but the girls are gaining a ton of match experience.”

Grace VanErp led the Battlers with 18 kills and 11 assists. Ady Tysdal added 10 kills while Sophie Akerman dished out 15 assists.  Kayler Brandner had a solid night for the Battlers going 20/20 serving and had 12 digs.  The Battlers will play again on Saturday in Pelican Rapids.

No Frazee stats were reported.
