Parkers Prairie scored three runs in the seventh inning on the way to a 5-1 win over Ottertail Central on Wednesday in the Junior Legion Sub State Tournament in Aitkin.  The loss ended the season for OTC.  Chase Thieschafer and David Revering drove in the runs for Parkers Prairie.  Nolan Steidl (7IP, 5H, 3K, 1BB, 1R) was the winning pitcher.

Kale Misegades (7IP, 5R, 8H, 1K, 0BB) took the loss for Ottertail Central.  Tyson Misegades, Kaleb Hammes, Lane Dilly, Kale Misegades and Gavin Pausch each managed one hit for OTC.

“We couldn’t ask for more out of Gavin and Kale on the mound today,” said Head Coach Randy Misegades.  “We made a few mistakes defensively that cost us and didn’t get enough timely hits.  We ended our season fourth in our nine team district and we return nearly our entire team for next year’s Junior Legion season.  This was such a fun summer.  I was fortunate to coach a great group of kids with phenomenal parent support.  The excitement for OTC baseball is off the charts right now and we are definitely headed in the right direction.”

Coach Misegades concluded, “I want to thank Evan Meece, Ryan Hendrickson, Dakota Aeling, Kellen Shebeck, and Matt Thorson for their help and support with our teams and our ballpark.  I also want to thank our parents, community members, and volunteers for their time and energy with the 15U State Babe Ruth tournament in Henning and Battle Lake.  What a spectacular summer of OTC baseball!”
