The Ottertail Central Junior Legion team overcame a 3-2 fifth inning deficit to defeat Crookston by the score of 6-3 on Monday in the Junior Legion Sub State Tournament being played in Aitkin. Owen Buehler delivered a clutch 2-run single to put OTC ahead 4-3.
Jayden Harig knocked in a run with a first inning double and had a pair of hits in the contest. Lane Dilly and Garrett Nelson also collected multiple hits as OTC had a total of 8 hits on the day.
Buehler (5IP, 5H, 3R, 2K) was the winning pitcher. Tyson Misegades and Gavin Pausch entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief with Pausch earning the save.
Ottertail Central will now take on the host team, Aitkin, at 7:30pm Tuesday.
