Riverdogs Earn First Win

The Fergus Falls Riverdogs got their first win of the season with an 11-2 victory over the visiting K-Town Outlaws Saturday night at American Legion Field at DeLagoon Park in Fergus Falls. The Riverdogs out hit the Outlaws 12 to 6 in the game. 

Fergus scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning, added single runs in the 3rd and 4th inning, followed by 3 more runs in the 5th and ended with 2 in the 6th. The Riverdogs got a solid pitching performance by starting pitcher Eric Anderson (5IP, 4H, R, 9K, 0BB).  Anderson is now 1 - 1 on the young season. The Riverdogs bullpen did their job with Matt Larson (1IP, H, R, 2BB) and David Hjelm (1IP, H, BB) both pitching in relief.

Offensive leaders where Ben Dischinger (2-3, 2R, 2RBI), Dustin Wynn (2-2, R, RBI), Juston Heacox (2-3, R, 2RBI), Jake Axel (2-3), Chris Wiederich (1-2, 2BB), John Carello (1-2, R), Matt Larson (1-3, 3B, R) and Monte Fredrickson (1-4, 3R, 2SB, RBI). 

The next game for the Riverdogs is next Friday night at 8:00pm at Legion Field.
