OTC Junior Legion Team Beats Crookston Twice

Tyson Misegades didn't allow a single run as the Ottertail Central Junior Legion team defeated Crookston 11-0 on Saturday in the first game of their double header. Misegades allowed just four hits.  In the nightcap OTC collected 9 hits in a 15-8 victory.

Ottertail Central scored six runs in the first inning of the opener.  The rally was led by singles by Soren Floden and Misegades, a sac fly by Owen Harig and a double by Owen Buehler.

Misegades was the winning pitcher for Ottertail Central.  The lefty lasted five innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out seven.

Misegades led OTC with two hits and two walks in four plate appearances. Ottertail Central was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.

The base paths were crowded in the high-scoring second game. Crookston scored eight runs in the third inning as Bulldog relievers struggled to throw strikes, but, OTC still won the game.  Crookston batters contributing to the big inning included George Widman, Alex LongoriaJackson Denereuis, Caden Ames, Lucas Miller, and Carter Coquette, who all drove in runs.

Ottertail Central got things moving in the first inning when Jayden Harig drew a walk, scoring one run.

OTC notched six runs in the second inning.  The offensive firepower by the Dogs was led by Owen Buehler, Garrett Nelson, Garrett Kuhn-Rice, Lane Dilly, and Harig, all driving in runs in the frame.

Buehler got the win for Ottertail Central.  The righty lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero.  Dilly entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Tyson Misegades and Nelson each racked up multiple hits for Ottertail Central. Ottertail Central stole six bases during the game with Gavin Pausch snagging two bags.
