Dilly Sparks OTC Junior Leagion to Double Header Sweep Over C-I

Lane Dilly didn't allow a single run as Ottertail Central Junior Legion defeated Crosby-Ironton 17-0 on Tuesday in the first game of their double header.  OTC also won game two in convincing fashion, 17-2.

Dilly allowed just five hits and led Ottertail Central at the plate by driving in four runs, getting two hits in three at bats. 

Ottertail Central notched six runs in the fourth inning to take control of the game.  Hunter Haugen, Owen Buehler, Garrett Nelson, Garrett Kuhn-Rice, and Kale Misegades all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Dilly earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Ottertail Central.  The pitcher went five innings, allowing zero runs on five hits, striking out ten and walking one.

OTC racked up 13 hits in the game.  Misegades, Gavin Pausch, and Dilly each had multiple hits for Ottertail Central with Misegades going 3-for-4.

Lane Dilly (4-for-4) was at it again in the nightcap, tallying four hits and leading OTC to the double header sweep over Crosby-Ironton.  Dilly singled in the first, doubled in the second, tripled in the second, and singled in the fourth.

An early lead helped propel Ottertail Central to victory.  They scored on a double by Tyson Misegades, a single by Dilly, a single by Owen Buehler, a single by Garrett Kuhn-Rice, and a groundout by Soren Floden in the first inning.

After Crosby-Ironton scored one run in the top of the third, OTC answered with one of their own when Floden singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Ottertail Central scored eight runs in the second inning.  The offensive onslaught by the Bulldogs was led by Dilly, Hunter Haugen, Garrett Nelson, Kale Misegades, and Dilly, all driving in runs in the frame.

Gavin Pausch earned the win for Ottertail Central. The righty surrendered two runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out two and walking one.
