Wadena-Deer Creek eliminated Ottertail Central in the Section 8AA baseball playoffs on Tuesday, posting a 12-2 six-inning win over the Bulldogs.

The Wolverines scored in the first inning on a double by Josh Dykhoff and a single by Connor Davis.  They added five runs in the sixth inning with Peyton Rondestvedt, Evan Lunde and Tony Kreklau each driving in runs.  Kreklau went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Wadena-Deer Creek.

Rondestvedt (2IP, 3K, 0BB, 0H, 0R) was the winning pitcher.  Dykhoff, Davis and Zach Shaw all put in work in relief out of the bullpen.

Kayne Cameron (2IP, 6H, 3R, 1K, 0BB) took the loss for OTC.  Owen Buehler went 1-for-3 at the plate.

“I really had fun this year because of the players,” commented Ottertail Central Head Coach Ryan Hendrickson.  “We had a great group of seniors that did a lot of teaching this year.  Wyatt Severson, Kayne Cameron, Joey Kupfer, and Cian Buehler have been very good for this program.  I have really enjoyed them as athletes and people in general.  I want to thank them, and their families, for all they have done for Ottertail Central baseball.”
