B-E had 18 hits in game one, led by Mikenna Pattrin who went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles, 3 runs batted in and 3 runs scored.  Sydney Schaefer (2-4, 2B, 2R, 2 RBI), Kylee Dingwall (2-4, 3 RBI, 2R), Bailey Schaefer (2-2, HR, 2 RBI, 4R), Korrie Randt (2-3, RBI, R), Morgan Bitzan (2-3, R) and Taylin Kramer (2-3, 2R) all had multiple hits.  Pattrin earned the win, going 3 innings, striking out 5, walking none and allowing 2 runs on 5 hits.  Dingwall pitched a scoreless fourth inning, striking out one batter.

“We came out strong from the start tonight and the whole team hit the ball well,” commented B-E Head Coach Kasi Sieling.  “Mikenna threw an excellent game and the defense played sound behind her.  This was a solid team will all around.”

Kramer (4IP, 3H, 0R, 1BB, 4K) pitched the game two shutout for the Chargers.  Hitting leaders were Kramer (3-5, 3 RBI, 2R), Sydney Schaefer (3-4, 3 RBI, 4R), Bailey Schaefer (2-5, 2B, HR, 3 RBI, 2R), Pattrin (3-3, 2 RBI, 2R), Kiley Lund (2-4, 2 RBI, 2R), Korrie Randt (2-4, 3R), Kaytlyn Pattrin (1-2, RBI, 2R) and Dingwall (1-3, 2R).

“Our bats stayed hot into the second game and we continued to get hits and contributions from our lineup from top to bottom,” noted Coach Sieling.  “Taylin did a nice job in the circle and the defense made some nice plays behind her to back her up.  These were two solid wins for our team.  This group has clinched our seventh consecutive Pheasant Conference championship and I’m extremely proud of them for achieving this goal.  They work hard and I’m excited to see how we can wrap up the regular season and get ready to start our post season play.”

The Chargers will play a double header against Minnewaska Area on Thursday to close out their regular season schedule.
