Perham Wins HOL Girls Title, Belka Earns Conference MVP Honors

The final Heart O’ Lakes Conference girls’ golf meet of the season was held on Thursday at Wildflower Golf Course with the result being a conference title for the Perham Yellowjackets.  Hawley finished second in the HOL, followed by Barnesville, Frazee, Pelican Rapids, DGF and Breckenridge.

Mallory Belka of Perham won the HOL MVP award with the low average score of 37.71 through the seven conference meets.  Other All-Conference golfers were Sophie Cook of Hawley (43.07), Mia Tickel of Hawley (45.14), Lexi Kunza of Perham (46.79), Ivy Tickle of Hawley (48.07), Liv Brasel (48.79) and Allie Aadland (49.50) of Barnesville, Hope Rosen (49.57) and Rylee Hunt (50.21) of Perham, Kennedy Schuler (50.50) of Breckenridge, Addison Zimmerman (51.57) of Perham, McKailee Kirsch (52.07) of Hawley, Aubry Zimmerman (52.21) of Perham, Krysten Halverson (52.79) of Frazee, and Maddalyn Stuvland (53.21) and Claire Rehder (53.29) of Barnesville.

Low scores on the front 9 at Wildflower were recorded by Mallory Belka of Perham with a 39, Kensie Larson of Hawley with a 44, Mia Tickle and Sophie Cook of Hawley with rounds of 44 and 45 respectively, Liv Brasel of Barnesville with a 46, Lexi Kunza of Perham with a 48, Rylee Hunt of Perham with a 49 and Krysten Halverson of Frazee with a 49.

Hawley won the team competition with score of 184 and Perham was second with a 187.  Third place went to Barnesville at 211, Frazee was fourth with a 229, DGF fifth with a 234, Pelican Rapids sixth with a 242 and Breckenridge was incomplete.

Hawley won the team competition with a score of 178.  Perham was runner-up at 188.  They were followed by Barnesville with a 205, Pelican Rapids at 228, DGF with a 243 and Frazee with a 247.  Breckenridge had an incomplete team.
