The Fergus Falls softball team scored four first inning runs to jump out to an early lead against Barnesville on Thursday at DeLagoon Park.  The Otters went on to post a 7-4 win over the Trojans.

Gabby Brimhall (3-4, RBI, R, SB), Tori Ratz (2-4, 2B, R), Karyssa Eberle (1-2, 2BB, 3R), Laci Strom (1-2, RBI, BB) and Kacey Fredrickson (1-3, RBI) were the hitting leaders for the Otters.  Piper Andrews swiped a pair of bases, drew a walk and scored a run, and Ashlyn Eckhoff and Kellen Frigaard each drove in a run.

Winning pitcher Rylynn Krein allowed 10 hits and 4 runs, none of which were earned, while striking out six and issuing one walk.

"We came out hot and finished strong," commented Fergus Falls Head Coach Lisa Truax.  "It was a fast paced exciting game, it was fun to see the girls play a complete 7 at such high intensity.”

Samantha Passa went 3-for-4 at the plate with a run batted in and a run scored to lead the Barnesville attack.  Lexi Bolgrean and Katie Newell each drove in a run for the Trojans.
