Schossow No-Hitter Completes Perham Sweep of Frazee

The Perham baseball team won a pair of games in Frazee on Tuesday, winning by scores of 13-1 and 10-0.

The Yellowjackets collected 14 hits in the opening game of the double header.  They were led by Rian Solberg (3-3, 2 2B, 2 RBI, 2R, SF), Logan Pulju (3-3, RBI, 2R), Ben Shumansky (2-4, 2B, 2 RBI, 3R), Jacob McAllister (2-4, R), Finn Diggins 1-4, 2B, 2 RBI) and Austin Aanenson (1-3, 2B, RBI, R, 2BB).  Diggins (6IP, 5H, R, 0ER, 7K, 3BB) was the winning pitcher and Caden Schossow struck out two batters in an inning of scoreless relief.

Hitting leaders for Frazee were Brandon Nguyen (2-4, 2B, R), Brock Barlund (1-1, 2B, 2BB) and Broden Fleisher (1-3, RBI).

Schossow hurled a five-inning no-hitter in game two, striking out four.  He didn’t walk a batter.  Jack Mensing (3-3, 2 RBI, R, 2B, HR), Chas Melvin (3-3, 3 2B, 3R), Ben Shumansky (3-3, 2B, 4 RBI), Rian Solberg (2-3, 3B, 2 RBI, R) and Andrew Smith (1-4, HR, RBI, R) led the offensive output for Perham.
