Kacey Fredrickson had the only Fergus Falls hit in game one of a softball double header against Sartell-St. Stephen on Tuesday as the Otters lost 15-0. Eight Fergus Falls errors led to eight unearned runs for the Sabres. Sartell scored 4 runs in the first inning, tallied 3 in the second, 4 in the third and 4 more in the fourth. Kami Dougherty (4IP, 1H, 4K, 1BB) was the winning pitcher. Dougherty (1-3, 2 RBI), Ava Williams (1-3, 2B, 2 RBI, 2R), Emily Houge (0-1, 3BB, RBI, 3R) and Danika Sarff (1-4, 3B, 2 RBI) were the offensive leaders for the Sabres.
The Sabres produced 17 hits in game two and completed the double header sweep with a 13-4 win. Dougherty drove in four runs, going 4-for-5 at the plate with 3 singles and a home run. Houge collected 4 hits in 5 at bats and scored 4 times. The top hitters for the Otters were Tori Ratz (2-4, 2B, 3B, 2R), Rylynn Krein (2-3, 2B, BB) and Laci Strom (1-3, 2 RBI, R, BB).
Sartell improves to 12-0 on the season, while the Otters fall to 2-7. Fergus Falls will host a double header with Bemidji on Thursday and a single game against Hawley on Friday.
