The Alexandria girls golf team traveled to Brainerd on Monday to play in their third Central Lakes Conference meet of the season.  The Cardinals won the team title with a score of 309, six strokes better than runner-up Brainerd with 315.  Sartell was third with a 359, followed by Willmar with 391, Bemidji with a 400, Apollo/Tech at 409 and Rocori at 444.

“After playing in near 80 degree temperatures on Saturday, the 50 degree temperature with a 20 mile per hour Northwest wind was a shock to the system,” commented Alexandria Head Coach Timothy Zupfer.  “It took us a few swings on the range with an extra layer of clothing on to find our groove.”

Hannah Boraas of Alexandria was medalist with a 73 and her teammate, Cora Larson was second with a 75.  Other Cardinal scores included an 80 from Lauren Rebrovich, good for fifth place, and an 81 from Aisling O’Connor who finished sixth.  Ellie Sticha (97) and Isabella Hagen (103) rounded out the team scoring.

The Cardinals will travel to Fergus Falls on Thursday for another Central Lakes Conference meet.
