The Fergus Falls Boys Golf Team competed in another Central Lakes Conference meet on Monday at Blackberry Ridge in Sartell.  "Blackberry is a true test.  It is always in such great shape," said Otter Head Coach Matt McGovern.  "It is a great test, and the course is fair. The greens are fast and smooth.  That isn't something we've had the chance to practice on much yet this year."

The boys finished 4th in the 9 team CLC meet shooting a 340.  The Otters were led by ninth grader, Gavin Goepferd with an 82.  "Gavin has been so solid this season.  He has been really impressive and just goes along with his business.  Not much bothers that young man," McGovern added.

Other golfers making up the team score were Ryan Nelson (freshman) with an 85, Chance Fazio (senior) with an 86, and Riley McGovern (freshman) with an 87.  Other scores include Charlie Fuder (sophomore) with a 90 and Adam Kennedy (eighth grade) with a 98.

The tournament was won by Brainerd with a team score of 315 while Logan Hamak (senior) from Sartell won the individual side of things with a 2 under 70.

The Otters don't have much time to figure things out as they play again on Tuesday the 4th in another CLC meet hosted by Willmar.
