The Alexandria girls’ golf team hosted five other schools at The Alexandria Golf Club on Wednesday morning.  The Lady Cardinals cashed in on some very nice weather with some very good scores, placing four golfers in the top eight of the individual competition and finishing with a first place score of 320 as a team.

“We were blessed with really nice weather,” stated Head Coach Tim Zupfer.  “The sun was shining, there was very little wind, and the temperature rose to the high 50’s.  The team score has the team moving in a positive direction.  This may also be the first time we have won this event since I became head coach.  The quality of teams participating in this event is always very good.”

Cora Larson was individual runner-up, leading the Cardinals with a round of 78.  Aisling O’Connor tied for 3rd with a personal best round of 79, Lauren Rebrovich was tied for sixth with an 80 and Hannah Boraas shot an 83, good for eighth place.  Isabella Hagen tied for 20th with a season best score of 99 and Rachel Bowen was tied for 23rd with a 101, her personal best score.
