Other Spartan scores included a 75 from Wyatt Blomseth, rounds of 76 from Hunter Burnside and Grant Inniger and an 81 from John Vall. Mikey Vall recorded an 88.
"I thought we played some very steady golf today and it was great to have four scores at 76 or lower,” commented M State Head Coach Jason Retzlaff. “As a team we seemed to do a nice job of avoiding big numbers and that was reflected in our team score. Carter and Hunter's ball striking were highlights. Wyatt and Grant gave us very steady rounds as well."
Brandon Calverey led Alexandria with a 77. Caden Chromy and Keenan Dahl each shot 79, Noah Cunningham finished with a92 and John Diekman, Jr. shot a 98.
The Spartans will compete next Friday at the UM-Morris Triangular at Pomme de Terre Golf Course in Morris.
