Eagles Record Two Wins Over OTC

New York Mills defeated Ottertail Central twice on Thursday, winning both ends of their double header by scores of 9-1 and 15-1.

 

A 3-run fourth inning in the first game was highlighted by a triple from Derin Gaudette and a home run from Abe Carlson.  New York Mills tallied 13 hits on the day with Gaudette, Carlson, Jake Guck and Drey Roberts each managing multiple hits.  Gaudette led the Eagles with three hits in three at bats.  New York Mills played errorless ball behind winning pitcher Drey Roberts (5IP, 1H, 9K).  Cale Rudolph and Jonah Johnson entered the game out of the bullpen and helped close out the game in relief.  Cian Buehler and Joey Kupfer each collected a hit for OTC.

A 2-run double by Carlson in the first inning of game two got the Eagles off to a fast start.  New York Mills scored nine runs in the second inning.  Gaudette (3IP, 8K, 3H, 1R) was the winning pitcher and Bren Salo threw two innings out of the bullpen.  The Eagles had 16 hits and once again played an errorless game in the field.  Gavin Pausch had two hits to lead the Bulldogs.
