The Ottertail Central Bulldogs fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 7-1 loss to Breckenridge in a high school baseball game on Thursday.

Breckenridge got on the board in the second inning when Jacob Vizenor grounded out, scoring one run.

The Cowboys scored four runs in the seventh inning.  Breckenridge batters contributing to the big inning included Collin Roberts, Jared Aamold, and Griffen Bosse, all driving in runs in the inning.

Cooper Yaggie earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Breckenridge. The bulldog allowed one hit and one run over five innings, striking out six.  Adam Ohm threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Chris Rinicker took the loss for Ottertail Central Bulldogs. Rinicker lasted five innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out four. Head coach Ryan Hendrickson commented that, “Chris did a great job, gave us an opportunity to win the game, we just didn’t convert our baserunners into runs again today.  We made some nice defensive plays, but then also had a couple costly errors. We hope to rebound tomorrow vs Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale.”

Gavin Pausch went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Ottertail Central.

Breckenridge tallied 11 hits on the day.  Yaggie led Breckenridge with four hits in four at bats.  Bose had 3 hits and Aamold had two.
