The Barnesville Trojans overcame a 23-15 halftime deficit and made 24-of-30 free throws on Saturday afternoon as they defeated Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton in a Section 8AA quarterfinal round game in Glyndon, knocking off the number one seed in the North sub-section. DGF shot 57% (11-19) on 3-pointers in the game, but only shot 9 free throws, making 7 of them. Barnesville had a 31-26 edge on the boards.
Adam Tonsfeldt poured in a game high 24 points and Kaden Zenzen had a huge game with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Ryan Rustad added 7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Tonsfeldt and Jack Nielson led the team with 3 steals each.
Barnesville (12-8) will play at Perham (15-5) at 7:00pm Wednesday night. The Yellowjackets are the top seed in the South half of 8AA.
