The Brandon-Evansville boys’ basketball team beat Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Monday night in a Section 6A pigtail playoff game, continuing their season with a 55-31 victory over the Wolverines.

The Chargers made 42.4% (14-33) of their shots from the floor, including 39% (7-18) of their 3-point shots.  They also connected on 20-of-25 free throws compared to 3-of-5 from the line for CGB.

Leaders for Brandon-Evansville were Tyler Bitzan (9 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals), Kobe Reiland (8 points, 2 rebounds 1 assist, 1 steal), Brady Perleberg (8 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal) and Titus Fuller (5 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals).  Riley Perleberg chipped in with 7 points and Dezmond White added 6 points and 2 assists.

“I thought we played pretty good basketball,” said B-E Head Coach Trent Hintermeister. “The ball didn't go through the hoop as much as we would have liked, but I thought our guys did a good job of continuing to play defense throughout the game. We had 9 different players score and nobody scored more than 9 points. I suppose it's a good thing to have balance. We look forward to the opportunity to play Ashby on Thursday night.”

CGB was led by Nate Moberg (10 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist) and Charles Kleindl (6 points, 5 rebounds).
