The Brandon-Evansville girls’ basketball team jumped out to a 44-21 halftime lead and went on to post a 68-39 Little Eight Conference win over the Rothsay Tigers on Saturday afternoon in Brandon.

Bailey Schaefer poured in 37 points on 14-of-22 shooting, sinking 7-of-12 from beyond the arc.  She also had 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 assists.  Mikenna Pattrin joined her in double figures with 19 points, while adding 6 rebounds.  Kaytlyn Pattrin pulled down 8 rebounds and dished out 3 assists in the contest.

“It was nice to see us score some points today after struggling to score last night,” reported Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Zach Traphagen. “A huge game from Bailey Schaefer and Mikenna Pattrin combining for 58 points between them. Bailey tied her school record for 3’s made in a game, and also broke the school record for most points in a game. Kaytlyn Pattrin was fantastic on the boards for us again today. We have a few days now to rest up, heal up and prep for a playoff push. Great way to finish the regular season and head into sections.”

The Chargers shot 50% (29-57) from the field and made 7-of-15 3’s.

B-E ends the season with a 9-9 record, while Rothsay finishes 3-15.
