The Ashby Boys Basketball Team defeated the Ortonville Trojans 59-41 on Tuesday night in Ortonville.  Ashby held a slim one point lead, 24-23 at halftime.

Three Arrows reached double figure scoring.  Jacob Cook led all scorers with 17 points.  Jaden Norby netted 16 and Torin Olson added 12 points.  The Arrows grabbed 28 rebounds.  Jacob and Jaden secured 9 boards apiece.  Ashby shot 42% (8/19) from three point range with 6 players making at least one three pointer.

The only Ortonville player to score in double figures was Nathaniel Miska with 10 points.

“The game was played mainly at a tempo favorable to Ortonville,” said Ashby Head Coach John Holsten.  “When we tried to quicken the pace we either dribbled into traffic and lost the ball or made a poor decision with a pass that was stolen.”

The Arrows overall record improves to 14-0.  Next up is a visit to Ashby Friday night by a talented team from Upsala.

Ortonville (2-11) will travel to Barrett on Friday to face the West Central Area Knights.
