Hancock hit 49% of their field goal attempts on Tuesday night as they handed Wheaton/Herman-Norcross a 64-53 loss in a Pheasant Conference boys’ basketball contest.

“This was a fun game and we played really hard,” said Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Head Coach Jordon Roos. “We did a lot of things well and limited Matt Thompson to 11 and Preston Rohloff to 10. Kody Berget however got us and scored 21. We missed some easy baskets throughout the game, especially early that hurt us. We didn’t rebound well in the second half and just didn’t force enough misses to come out on top.”

The Warriors were led by Clint Determan (18 points, 8 rebounds) and Grant Dawson (10 points, 4 assists).  Dylan Bainbridge dished out a team high 5 assists, scored 5 points and had 3 steals.

Hancock (11-4) has won five straight games. They will travel to play Renville County West on Thursday.

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (6-6) will host West Central Area on Thursday and Battle Lake on Saturday.
