The Fergus Falls boys’ basketball team struggled with their shooting once again as they hit only 37.7% (23-61) of their field goal attempts in a 63-55 home court loss to Sartell on Monday night.  The Sabres made 51% (24-47) of their shots from the floor.

The Otters took a 7-0 lead to start the game, however, Sartell tied the game at 7-7.  A five point surge gave the Otters a 12-7 lead, but Sartell went on an 11 point run to grab an 18-12 lead on the way to a 29-25 halftime advantage.  A 12-2 run by the Sabres to start the second half gave them a lead they were able to protect the rest of the night.  The Sabres won the rebounding battle 37-27.  They also had 20 turnovers, compared to just 10 for Fergus Falls.

Dominic Aguilar led the way for the Otters with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.  Luke Newman contributed 15 points and 5 boards and Abel Aho finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds.

Mason Lund had 18 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists for the Sabres.  Gus Gunderson chipped in with 9 pints and 4 rebounds, and Logan Clark added 8 points and 7 boards.

Fergus Falls (7-7) will travel to Bemidji on Thursday night and will host Perham on Saturday afternoon.
