Rylee Hanson and Misti Zempel led Hancock with 13 and 12 points, respectively. Tori Pahl added 8 points and 8 assists, and Carlee Hanson finished with 7 points. Kaitlyn Staples led the Owls with 4 steals, while scoring 4 points, and Alexis Staples dished out 3 assists.
Bailey Schaefer led the home team with 11 points, 2 assists, 2 steals and 3 rebounds.
“Hats off to Hancock, they are a very impressive team,” commented Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Zachary Traphagen. “We never could get in any rhythm tonight offensively, a lot of that is a credit to them. We will learn from this one, forget about it, and move forward as a team to prepare for a very good West Central team on Thursday.”
Hancock (13-0) will host Minnewaska Area on Tuesday.
Brandon-Evansville (5-7) is home against West Central Area on Thursday and will play at Ashby on Saturday.
