Henning led Menahga 16-10 at the half, but the Braves came out on top 47-46 as they outscored the Hornets 37-30 over the final 18 minutes of play.

“We just simply didn't deserve to win this game,” said Head Coach Randy Misegades of Henning.  “Everyone will look at the last possession and a desperation three pointer that banked in for Menahga to win the game.  But, the truth is that our coaches and players weren't prepared to play.  We had many, many opportunities to win this game that came well before the final play.  We simply have to do a better job with the mental part of the game.  Physical mistakes are part of the game, but we are making way to many mistakes mentally to be a good team.  We need to get better as we enter the final two weeks of the regular season.”

Henning was led by Tanner Arndt with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.  Tyson Misegades was also in double figures with 11 points.  Mason Hammer finished with 9 points and 10 rebounds.

Henning (8-4) will host Pillager on Tuesday and play at Sebeka on Friday, before hosting Parkers Prairie on Saturday afternoon.

Menahga (3-6) will play a road game against Bertha-Hewitt on Tuesday and then will host Verndale on Friday and New York Mills on Saturday.
