The Brainerd Warriors beat Fergus Falls 97-73 in the final boys’ swimming and diving event of the regular season on Thursday night in Brainerd.
“Tonight was our last dual meet of the year and also the last high school swim meet in the current Brainerd pool as they will move into a new pool next season,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Randy Hansen. “We have had a lot of meets in a row the last few weeks and I think that showed tonight. I can tell our guys are tired and more than ready for taper to start on Monday. We are excited to not travel for a while and hopefully heal up a little bit.
I was really happy for Ryan Aanerud in his 200 IM with a 4 second time drop. Sean Edman also had great races in his 200 and 100 free.”
Next meet for the Otters is the Section meet on March 13. The section meet is divided up into three locations this year. The Otters will swim in Morris against Morris and Detroit Lakes.
