Menahga Girls Improve to 8-1 With Win Over WDC

Menahga won their fourth straight game and improved their season record to 8-1 with a 40-22 high school girls’ basketball victory over Wadena-Deer Creek on Friday night in Wadena.  The Braves led 18-10 at the half.

Janie Tormanen scored 12 of her game high 18 points in the first half.  Martha Peterson chipped in with 6 points for Menahga.

Montana Carsten and Summer Pettit each hit a pair of 3’s and finished with 6 points each.  Madison Packer also had 6.

Menahga will play at Big Lake on Monday night.

Wadena-Deer Creek (4-8) will host Sebeka next Thursday and Park Rapids on Friday.
