The New York Mills Eagles hosted the Pillager Huskies in a high school boys’ basketball contest on Tuesday night.  The Eagles built a 45-36 halftime lead on the way to a 92-68 win.

"It was our best performance of the year both defensively and offensively,” said New York Mills Head Coach Jason Boe.  “Our defensive pressure led to quite a few baskets in transition and we didn't turn the ball over against the variety of defenses they played.  It was a great team win."

Tate Olson poured in 28 points and completed his double-double by collecting 10 rebounds, while dishing out 7 assists to lead the Eagles.  Jonah Johnson added 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals, Noah Noffsinger had 15 points and 8 boards, and Derin Gaudette finished with 14 points, 5 steals and 4 assists.

New York Mills (6-2) will host Henning on Friday night.

Pillager (6-3) travels to Wadena on Friday to face the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines.
