The Henning boys’ basketball team made 45% (33-72) of their field goal attempts as they defeated the Sebeka Trojans by the score of 79-45 on Thursday night in Henning.

“It was nice to pick up a win on a night we didn’t shoot the ball particularly well,” said Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “We need to do a better job moving the ball and being efficient on offense and we also need to clean up a number of things on the defensive end. Joe Angell was efficient on offense and did a nice job rebounding for us tonight.”

The Hornets placed four players in double digits, led by Mason Hammer and Tanner Arndt with 20 and 19 points, respectively.  Angell had 12 and Tyson Misegades finished with 10.  Kale Misegades chipped in with 9 points.  Angell added 12 rebounds to complete his double-double, while Hammer and Tyson Misegades had 7 rebounds each.  Arndt dished out a team high 5 assists.  Tyson Misegades and Calvin Stueve had 4 assists apiece.

Henning (5-2) will play at Wadena on Tuesday night as they start a stretch that will see them on the road for the next three games.

Sebeka (2-6) will host Verndale on Monday and travel for a game against Bertha-Hewitt on Tuesday.
