Bailey Schaefer poured in 24 points and came up with 6 steals to pace Brandon-Evansville in their 57-22 victory over Rothsay in a Little Eight Conference girls’ basketball contest on Thursday night in Brandon.

“We played with great effort tonight especially on the defensive end,” said B-E Head Coach Zach Traphagen. “It's fun to see 5 girls out on the court who aren't afraid to get on the floor after a loose ball, or to sacrifice their bodies to play great defense. Definitely have some offensive issues we need to get ironed out, but I believe if we keep playing with the same level of intensity day in and day out, we're going to finally put it all together. We had a couple of girls get dinged up a bit tonight, so we'll need to get healthy before taking the home court again on Monday.”

Mikenna Pattrin joined Schaefer in double digits with 14 points and also had 10 rebounds to register a double-double.

The Chargers (1-2) will host Hillcrest on Monday night, while Rothsay (1-2) will host Underwood.
