The Underwood girls’ basketball team shot just 26% (17-65) from the field and made just 3-of-27 3-pointers as they suffered their first loss of the season, losing to Parkers Prairie by the score of 49-40.

“We did not shoot well tonight, against a good team like Parkers Prairie you can’t shoot 26% and expect to win,” said Underwood Head Coach Brian Hovland.  “We got down big early but clawed back to within 5 at half.  Early in the second half we tied the game up at 33-33. Down the stretch we struggled to knock down shots.”

Liz Lukken led Underwood with 15 points.  Mo Bugbee had 11 points and 5rebounds, and Lydia Baker added 6 points and a team high 9 boards.

The Rockets (3-1) will play at Rothsay on Monday January 25.

Parkers Prairie (3-0) will play at Long Prairie-Grey Eagle on Tuesday.
