The Underwood boys’ basketball team was held to 11 second half points as the Lake Park-Audubon Raiders expanded their 28-22 halftime lead throughout the second half and finished with a 58-33 win over the Rockets on Tuesday night.

Underwood shot just 25% (10-39) from the floor and lost the rebounding battle 40-30.  The Rockets also had 19 turnovers compared to just 2 for LPA.

"The difference in the first half was second chance points for LPA,” commented Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece.  “We played them closely, but allowed them too many second chances.  The second half, we came out flat and allowed them to extend their lead off of turnovers and more second chance points.  We need to take care of the ball better and keep the offense off the boards."

Krosby Aasness registered a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, to go along with a team high 4 assists and 2 steals.  Bryce Jorgenson recorded 4 blocked shots and snared 4 rebounds, while Jayden Harig scored 9 points and added 5 boards.

Kaden Beske led three Raiders in double digits with 14 points.  Garrette Cosette added 13 and Marc Pederson contributed 11.

Underwood will host Ashby on Friday night in a Little Eight battle.
