“We were slow on defense and CGB was able to get into the paint with ease,” said Head Coach Hannah Clark of the Comets. “We gave up way too many offensive rebounds and CGB was able to capitalize on second chances. Our lack of energy on the defensive end carried over to our offense and we were never able to get into any sort of rhythm.”

The Comets were led by Mackenzie Foss with 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.  Regan Wiertzema had a team high 9 rebounds.

Hillcrest (0-2) plays at Ashby on Thursday.  CGB (2-0) is at Hancock on Friday night.
