Perham Tops Hawley for Third Straight Win

The Perham boys’ basketball team took control of their game with Hawley in the second half on Tuesday night as they poured in 44 points over the final 18 minutes to record a 74-46 victory over the Nuggets.

The Yellowjackets shot 61.7% (29-47) from the field and 39% (7-18) of their 3’s.  They were led by Finn Diggins (22 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals), Elijah Morris (19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals) and Soren Anderson (8 point, 2 rebounds, 2 blocks).  Carson Hespe and Gabe Thompson added 7 points apiece.

Hawley placed two players in double digits as Justin Koski and Alex Bratsch finished with ten points each.  The Nuggets made only 32.7% (17-52) of their shots from the floor and hit just 3-of-24 from beyond the arc.

Perham (3-0) will play at Barnesville on Friday night.

Hawley (0-1) will travel to Ada for a Friday contest against Ada-Borup.
